ACTING
Of Sashas most recent accomplishments, one role would stand out most. That would be his role as "Boris Mikhailov", star centre and Captain of the Russian National team in the Disney movie "Miracle". He played opposite Kurt Russell in this movie of an unlikely victory the USA had over the dominant Russian squad in the Summit Series in 1980. An action packed emotional movie in which Sasha was honoured to be a part of. Sasha's first brush with stardom was at the young age of 12 where he played a backcatcher in a Gulf oil "Play ball" commercial for the Toronto Blue Jays. He also starred in a few commercials for the Las Vegas Thunder while playing with them. In one commercial he pushes Ed Macmahon out of a season ticket holder's front doorway to deliver him the tickets. In another such commercial he glamorously exits a Las Vegas casino in a tuxedo with a beautiful woman, gives the valet his ticket and up pulls a YUGO for him to drive away in.

HOCKEY

Sasha's passion for hockey started at the young age of 3 years old when his parents first put him on skates. At 9 years old, he got his first crack at coached hockey in East Vancouver at his beloved Riley Park. From Novice to Bantam, Riley Park was his forerunner for success.
He was surrounded by kids that had the same dream as him, of one day playing in the NHL. He played the remainder of his junior hockey career with teams such as the Grandview Steelers, Poco Buckeroos, Kelowna Spartans, and Bellingham Icehawks. Sasha went on to play in the NHL with the Calgary Flames and New Jersey Devils.
